Mr. Danny Ray "D-Ray" Phillips

Mr. Danny Ray Phillips, affectionately known as "D-Ray", passed away peacefully at his home in Shelbyville, Tennessee on October 29, 2025 at the age of 62.
A Celebration of Life will be 5 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from 3 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Per Danny's wishes, he will be cremated.
Born in Yazoo City, Mississippi on December 6, 1962, Danny was the beloved son of the late Walter lee Phillips and Lettie Ruth Phillips. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Lewis Rippy, sister Ruthie Thomas, and Nephew Cory Phillips.
Danny moved to Tennessee in 1974 and became a proud graduate of Cascade High School. A true football enthusiast, Danny was a familiar face in the stands on Friday nights at Cascade, Saturdays cheering on the Tennessee Vols, Sundays with the Titans, and any day his grandchildren had a game. His passion for sports was matched only by his love for his family.
Danny's greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. He is survived by his children: Natasha Jameson, Jasmine (Tony) Dudeck, Jessica (AJ) Vanderpool, and Logan (Jarylin) Phillips. He was a proud grandfather to: Maci Ray Dudeck, Lane Dudeck, Makinzey Dudeck, Bryson Dudeck, Neyland Ray Vanderpool, Knoxton Vanderpool, Beckett Jameson, Bennett Jameson, Riley Bishop, Remi Bishop, and one more "Ray baby" on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Walter Phillips, Willie Phillips, and Cynthia Greer, and nieces and nephews, Drew Greer, AJ Phillips, Julie Stanley, and Latavia Phillips.
He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss his infectious smile, booming laugh, and the joy he brought to every room he entered.
