Danny Ralph Snead of Scottsburg passed away November 17, 2025 at his home with his loving family surrounding him. He was born in Halifax County on January 8, 1953 to the late Ralph Hardy Snead and the late Frances Womack Snead Bomar. He was married fifty years to Sheena Hudson Snead who survives.
He was a member of Fork Baptist Church. Danny had a strong work ethic, and it showed as he was a dedicated employee with Tultex, Crown Craft, Dan River Mills and retiring from Annin Flag; upon his retirement he went to work part time at NAPA. Danny enjoyed doing yard work and going out to eat with his beloved family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Danelle Renee Snead of Scottsburg; two brothers, Tony Snead and Mike Snead both of Dryburg; one step-brother, Tony Bomar of South Boston. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Violet Snead and his beloved cats, Simba and Tiger.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 3:30 P.M at Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ken Warfield officiating.
