Danny "Dan" Stinchcomb, a devoted husband, loving father, faithful servant, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, in Lawrenceville, Georgia, at the age of 64.
Born on May 29, 1961, in Atlanta, Georgia, Dan lived a life marked by humility, dedication, and quiet strength. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Baton Rouge (SSN-689) from 1981 to 1987, carrying out his duty to his country with honor. Following his service, he built a meaningful career in public service, retiring from the Gwinnett County IT Department in 2025.
Dan found deep joy in his faith, family, and fellowship. He was a kind and gentle soul who lived to serve others, whether through his work, his church, or the countless unseen moments of love he shared with those around him. As a dedicated member of the production team at 12Stone Church in Snellville, he used his gifts to support the message of Christ and the people he cherished so dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his children, Christofer Berndt (Soledad), Kristine Fields (Anthony, Elsie), and Becky Scales (Kyle); his sisters, Robin Rivers (Robin) and Diane Conti; and many extended family members and friends who will miss his quiet wisdom and steady presence.
A graveside service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, on Thursday June 12, 2025 at 1 PM followed by a reception to celebrate Dan's life at Johnny's New York Style Pizza in Lawrenceville, GA.
Dan's life was a testimony to his faith. He lived out the words of Joshua 24:15: "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." He served well-and he finished well.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Dan by doing what he did best: serve someone in love.
