Danny Mullins Walter

Danny Mullins Walter, 72, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Pine Bluff, AR, entered his heavenly home on June 29, 2024. He was born April 27, 1952 in Pine Bluff to the late Henry and Margaret Crowder Walter. He was a 1970 graduate of PBHS and attended Arkansas A&M College in Monticello prior to working at Cotton Belt Railroad. He retired in 2013 from Union Pacific Railroad.
While his health permitted, Danny enjoyed fishing, golfing, and shooting at the gun range where he was almost always hitting the bulls eye. Danny was a member of Barcelona Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village as well as the Faith SS class.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Rhodes Walter; children Joey Walter (Bridgette) of Benton, and Lesley Sawrie (Matt) of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren Kristen Grace Walter of Bentonville, Daniel Walter of Fayetteville, Madden and Andrew Sawrie of Bossier City, LA (all of whom he loved dearly and was so proud of their accomplishments); brothers Kyle Walter of Hardy, AR, Glen Walter of Hot Springs Village and nephew/brother Alan Walter of Paragould, AR; sisters Voletta Chavis of Hot Springs Village, Fran Owens of Clearwater, FL, and Dell Higgins of Columbia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Caruth Village Funeral Home, 4623 AR 7, Hot Springs Village, AR, with Pastor Jon Stubblefield officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Barcelona Road Baptist Church, 390 Barcelona Rd., Hot Springs Village, AR 71909 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
