WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and truly broken hearts that the family of Dante McClashie shares the news of his unexpected passing far too soon on November 2, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a tragic motor vehicle accident.
Dante was born on December 25, 1996, in Jamaica, Queens, NY, and was raised in Waterbury, CT, surrounded by the unwavering love of his mother, Neketta McClashie, and his beloved aunt, Tosha McClashie. He was a proud graduate of Crosby High School, Class of 2014, where he made lasting friendships and memories. He immersed himself in the world of music and was known for his keen sense of style, always keeping ahead of the latest fashion trends to ensure he was “dressed to impress”. His infectious enthusiasm for life made him a beloved figure among those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dante found his great career beginnings as a warehouse worker at Barker Specialty in Cheshire, where his hard work and dedication made him of their brightest stars. Outside of work, Dante was an avid online gamer, boasting impressive skills as a high-ranking player in 2K, a passion that connected him with friends near and far. Dante's spirit will be cherished by his family and friends, who will remember him for his vibrant personality and the joy he brought into their lives. In this time of sorrow, we ask that all who knew Dante remember the laughter, the warmth, and the love he shared with the world. He may no longer walk among us, but his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched. Rest in peace, Dante. You will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish and honor his memory besides his mother, Nekketa and Aunt Tosha, he leaves his siblings; Demere and Breanna McClashie and his cousin who was like a brother to Dante, Jerrel Rice, as well as his uncle, Norris McClashie Jr., He also leaves many extended family members and friends, who will continue to keep his memory alive in their hearts. Funeral services for Mr. McClashie will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Casey Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care has been honored to care for Dante and all the McClashie family.
