Darald Sandhoff, age 88, of
Storm Lake, Iowa, formerly of Schaller, Iowa, died September 25, 2025 at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 6-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. Darald was born November 4, 1936 to Frank and Loretta (Roeder) Sandhoff in
Storm Lake, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller. In 1954, Darald graduated from Schaller High School. After graduation, Darald worked for local farmers and businesses, including Consolidated/Central Popcorn Company. He eventually began farming with his dad full-time and then farmed with his brother for 60+ years in the Schaller area. On June 6, 1970, Darald was united in marriage to Michelle McKenna at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. They were blessed with four children: Michael, John, Bridget, and David. Faith was the cornerstone of Darald's life. In his younger years, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller where he was an altar server and assisted with various groups and committees. Most recently, Darald was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Farming was Darald's lifelong passion. You could find him reading farm magazines or tinkering with older tractors. Darald also loved watching westerns in his free time, especially Gunsmoke. More than anything, Darald treasured time with his family and looked forward to attending his children's and then his grandchildren's sporting events. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Left to cherish Darald's memory include his beloved wife, Michelle Sandhoff of

He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Loretta Sandhoff; parents-in-law: J. Melvin and Mary McKenna; and brothers-in-law: John Grindle and Houshang Homampour.
