Mr. Darious Jabar Dj Wilson

Darious "DJ" Jabar Wilson was born on March 17, 1981, to Rhonda (Kenny) Sims, and Franklin Mathis in Griffin Spalding County, Georgia. He received his formal education at Griffin High School, and graduated in the Class of 2000.
Darious accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age, and was united with New Hope Baptist Church, where he served in the Men of Standard. He was employed by International Paper as a Machine Operator for twenty years. He spent most of his leisure with his kids, they were the love of his life.
Mr. Darious Jabar "DJ" Wilson departed this life on Monday, December 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Catherine Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his mother, Rhonda (Kenny) Sims; his father, Franklin Mathis; two daughters, Deziur Wilson, and Jamya Wilson; one son, Christian Wilson; three brothers, Antonio Mathis, Rodrickous Wilson, and Darquez Hill; three sisters, Camryn Wilson, Darnika Wilson, and Princess (Jarquervious) Culpepper; grandmother, Naomi Stroud; grandfather, Sherman Frazier; godmother, April Wright; aunts, Marcia Stroud, Ronnie Butler, Peaches Mathis, patricia Mathis, Ann Mathis, and Sharon Parker; uncles, Hanson Stroud, Sherman Frazier, Jr., and William (Rhonda) Wilson; devoted uncle, Frederick Mathis, and a special friend Sherika Morris. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 Pm at Burden's Funeral Home. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Bishop Antonio Sewell is the Eulogist.
