Darla Jean Moore Smith

Our precious angel Darla Jean Moore-Smith, 2, went to be with her Father in Heaven on September 6, 2024, as the result of an accident. Darla came into this world on July 28, 2022.
In this crazy world you need all the help you can get, so Darla had a head start by being named after her Great-Grandma Darla and Great-Great-Grandma Gene. Darla captured all our hearts with her spunk, sass, sugar, and spice. Her smile was contagious, and her spirit was relentless. From the beginning she fought against the odds. Darla was born prematurely, but that didn't stop her, it was just a small bump in the road. With the help of her mom, Grandma Darla, and other family members, and wonderful nurses and doctors. If you met Darla, she would win you over with a smile, giggle, and blowing of a kiss. Some things that Darla loved were being a big sister, loving her mom, and snuggling with her dad. She loved visiting people, but also loved it when it was time to be home with her family, in her own house, in her own bed. We loved our little Darla, and she will be greatly missed by many, many people, but most especially her mother and father who loved her immensely and unconditionally.
Darla is survived by Makayla Moore (Mother), Kelvin Smith (Father), and Chloe Smith (Sister). As well as Michael Moore (Grandfather), Sarah (Grandma) and Adam (Grandpa) Shelton, Cynthia Smith (Grandma), and James Russell Smith (Grandpa). Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and Great Grand Parents.
Darla was preceded in death by Gene Lavon Maughan (Great-great Grandmother) earlier this year, and Nevaeh Henchel (cousin). We were fortunate to get a 5-generation picture with Darla, and her Great-great-Grandma.
Services will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, at the LDS chapel on 770 E. 15th St., Odgen, Utah at 1 pm. There will be a viewing from 11 am to 12:45 pm prior to services. Then around 2 pm we will be heading to Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 N Monroe Blvd, Odgen.
