Darlene K. Anderson passed unexpectedly on Friday, August 1st, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Anderson, Mother and Father (Helen and Dick Nixon), her in laws (Madelyn and Dick Anderson), and her brother (Dennis Nixon, Jr). Survived by her brother, Dale Nixon, Sr. (and his wife, Kim), Sister, Heidi Chidsey (and husband, Sean), and brother Dean Nixon (and his wife Linda). Along with nieces and nephews, Dale Nixon Jr, Elizabeth Nixon Eickhoff, Kayla Chidsey, Colin Chidsey, Dylan Nixon, and Darren Nixon. Also survived by her closest companion, Vanna. Darlene was a graduate of RVRHS, class of 1971. She was a majorette all through high school. After high school she began her work career at Bell Telephone in Mt. Holly and later went to work for Verizon until she retired. She and Brian loved to travel and camp. They also had a love for car shows as they owned many classic cars. Darlene had a great love for animals. She and Brian had several Chessies and her beloved Vanna. Darlene was a kind and giving person. She donated time and money to many organizations to assist in rescues of dogs, donkeys and maintaining Indian Reservation Schools. Darlene loved spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, August 11th from 6-7 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 PM.
