Richard W. Lewis of Hainesport passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old. Born in Paterson, NJ; Rick was a graduate of Cherry Hill West High School and a graduate of Indiana State University. He began his professional journey as a history teacher and later dedicated his career as a Financial Advisor. Family was of the utmost importance to Rick. His pride and joy who he absolutely idolized was his grandson, Cayden, who affectionately calls him 'Poppy,' a name Rick wore close to his heart. He was an avid swimmer and swim coach. In his spare time, Rick enjoyed playing golf. He had a passion and love for history and reading history books, and proudly supported all of Philadelphia's sports teams. The son of the late Thomas and Virginia Lewis, he is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Joan Kumpel Lewis; 2 daughters and their husbands: Sara & CJ Bruce, and Amy & Dan DeBarr; and his grandson Cayden Bruce. He is also survived by 4 brothers: Robert (Grace), Jeff (late Celeste), Jay (Lisa), Chuck (Suzanne); his sister-in-law Linda Natoli (late Angelo); and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 6th from 6-8pm at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, October 7th at 11:00am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the heart and cancer associations at www.heart.org and www.cancer.org
