Darlene Cooper, age 95, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Mrs. Cooper was born on March 27, 1930, in Hall County, to the late Boyd and Louise Daniels Wilson. She graduated from Gillsville High School and met her late husband of 65 years, Bobby Cooper, at The Collegiate Grill. Darlene was a retired court reporter and worked with many judges during her career. After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the animal shelter, Meals on Wheels, and the White County Food Bank. She also enjoyed international traveling and college basketball. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cooper.

Survivors include her daughters, Jackye Cooper (B.J. Whitfield), Lea Whitmire, and Viveca Cooper; grandson, Jason Whitmire.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland. Pastor Burnetta Armor will officiate. Mrs. Cooper will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery – Gainesville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland on Friday, prior to the memorial service.
