Darlene Mildred Seitz, age 97, of Woodstock, GA., passed peacefully, on Nov. 18th, 2022 at home, with loving family by her side.
Darlene was born July 2nd, 1925 in Kankakee, Illinois, to parents, Margaret Irene Miller and Cletus Colclusure. She was married on May 27th, 1961 to Gerhardt (Jerry) Seitz, and spent 61 wonderful years together. The two most recently resided at their home of 20+ years, in Palm Coast, FL., prior to their move to Woodstock, GA. Darlene's favorite moments were spending time with family, whether it be at their condo "Seychells" in Daytona Beach, at their home, or just one on one. Her proudest accomplishments were many, but, among which, were winning a number of golf awards and trophies. Also, at age 87, writing her memoir in her book 'Life is not a dance rehearsal'. Darlene also enjoyed art and painting, as well as, being a small aircraft pilot in her early years, and an acclaimed dance instructor, teaching worldwide for Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Darlene was a member of The Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include her loving husband; Jerry, sons; Jack Brown (Portland, OR), Steve Seitz (Woodstock, GA), daughters; Margaret (Stacy) Seitz (Cape Coral, FL), Denise Newberry (Waleska, GA), and April Baker (Phoenix, AZ), grandchildren; Tammy Smith, Jill Brown, Mike Brown (Portland, OR), Brock Seitz (Woodstock GA), Vanessa Shoaff (Canton, GA), Nicholas Seitz (New York, NY), Zachary Tillman (Jacksonville FL), Maddux Tillman (Bothel, WA), Ashton Baker, Autumn Schanne (Phoenix, AZ), great grandchildren; Weston Shoaff, Isla Shoaff (Canton, GA), Ashlyn Schanne, Brayden Schanne (Phoenix, AZ).
