Darrel J. Bietz

Darrel Jennings Bietz passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at the age of 78. Darrel was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to the late Irvin and Caroline (née Brown) Bietz. He was the devoted husband of forty-nine years to Rosamond (née Carlin) Bietz. He was the beloved father of Peter (Joy), Meghan and Jonathan (Josie), and an enthusiastic Pop-Pop to Kendall and Hope. He is also survived by his loving older sister, Orrell Dunn, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Darrel was a graduate of West Chester State College (now West Chester University) and followed in his father's footsteps as a mathematics teacher, doing so for over forty years, predominately in the Colonial School District. He was an avid fan of the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State football. Relatives and friends are invited to his celebration of life at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd. West Chester, Pennsylvania on May 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Visitation 9:15-10:15 in Church. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
