Darrel Moudy, age 65, of
Independence, Missouri lost his battle with cancer. He chose to leave this world on his terms, surrounded by loved ones on August 18, 2025.
Darrel was born on January 31, 1960 as the second son to Carl and Elaine Moudy. He spent his youth in Marceline, Missouri. He was involved in baseball and wrestling, passions that remained in his heart throughout his life. Darrel spent his career operating and maintaining printing press machines.
He had a deep love for fishing and was a devoted sports enthusiast, cheering passionately for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. A dedicated NASCAR fan as well, he found great joy in the thrill of the sport. His commitment to the advocacy of muscular dystrophy brought him meaningful opportunities to connect with family and friends at countless charity events hosted by the teams he loved most.
Although his body has left this world, the mark he left will remain in the memories of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, stubbornness, and even more so for his unwavering love.
