Darrell E. “Roll Roll” Begay
We are deeply sadden and broken hearted to announce the unexpected loss of Darrell E. "Roll Roll" Begay. Darrell was born on March 14, 1973 in Fort Hood, Texas and passed on July 21, 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We will remember Darrell as being the life of our parties, always joking and laughing with people around him. It was never a dull moment being in his presence. He would help others without asking any questions or have a listening ear to family and friends who needed someone to talk to.
Darrell was a man of many talents. He loved working on his cars, home, computers, and always trying to make his sound systems sound better. He loved his country and hip hop music, asking if we heard this song or this artist. He enjoyed traveling, trying new foods and drinks with his fiancé. What he enjoyed most were barbecues with family and friends, telling stories, having some wild conversations, laughing having a good time, and ending with his two favorite words "handle it" with his smirky smile, and his favorite drink in hand.
Darrell is preceded in death by his father Douglas Begay Sr, cousins Anthony and Adrian Begay.
He's survived by his mother Phyllis, fiancé Yanhong Pan, son Marco, daughter Arianna, his brothers Mickey and Jeff, sisters Denise and Amanda, nephews Brandon, Tyler, Zachary, and Nikolaus, nieces Danielle, Mercedes, Shoshanah, and Onawa, grandsons Jayden, Ethan and James, and his uncle Alex along with extended relatives in the Acoma and Dine nations.
Roll Roll, we will remember the son, brother, nephew, uncle, and grandfather you once were. You will forever be in our hearts. We will never forget you, your smile, and laughter. Rest in peace Roll Roll….
