Darrell R. Burch, age 68, of Statesboro. Ga. formerly of Greenhurst ,NY passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 16, 1956 to Robert and Janet (Holsinger) Burch. Darrell had many careers. He owned the Greenhurst Inn from 1987-1990. He was a baker at Armstrong State Universities dining facilities which was his last career before retirement. His favorite job was an aid in the OT/PT room at BOCES. Darrell had a way with children with disabilities.
He is survived by his loving wife, Daphne Burch; his son, Devin (Aleda) Burch of Fluvanna, NY; his daughter, Darci (Jean) Hyppolite of Tampa, Fl; his two grandchildren, Landry and Torrin Burch of Fluvanna, NY; two brothers, Michael Burch and Mark (Kathy) Burch, both of Onoville, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Darrell was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Deidra Mae Burch, paternal grandparents, Floyd and Jeanette (Wilcox) Burch; maternal grandparents, Earl (Pete) and Lenore (Wilson) Holsinger; and his mother-in-law, Phoebe Forbes.
The family is planning a celebration of life for a future date in NY and details will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northern Canine Rescue, 7540 N. Gale Street, Westfield, NY 14787.
