Darrell Francis Griffin

Darrell Francis Griffin, 82, of Rymer, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont. He was born July 9, 1942, a son of the late Paul Francis Griffin and the late Idella Estilina Helmick Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother.
He is survived by his children; his neighbor and best friend, Pete Goodrich; his caregivers, Helen Goodrich and Icey Goodrich; Marilyn Griffin and his friends at the Marion County Senior Citizens; and all his good neighbors in the community of Rymer.
Darrell was a US Army veteran. He assisted his father in the operation of Griffin's Groceries, which was a wonderful service to the community. He still made his home at the original location of the store. He was a very private, but thoughtful man who enjoyed writing letters and sending cards to his friends. He also enjoyed riding the Cass Scenic Railroad and Astrology. He was Church of Christ by faith.
