Darrell R. Hunter passed away on May 21, 2025. Darrell was born on November 2, 1958, in Nashville, Tennessee to Willie Ray and Willa Dean (Williams) Hunter.
Darrell was his own man! He was an eclectic “old fart” who could always be found wearing his overalls. Darrell was an avid movie buff, collecting hundreds of movies and when not watching movies, he added to his extensive “Titanic” memorabilia collection. Darrell enjoyed playing the drums and would threaten to buy drums for his granddaughters. He loved life and his family, but being “Pappy” was his true love.
Darrell is preceded in death by his parents Willie Ray and Willa Dean and his brother Roggie Hunter. He is survived by his daughters Desiree (Spencer Freed) Hunter, and Katie (Shane) Farrell; grandchildren Anastasia Farrell and Lily Ray Farrell; bonus grandchildren Connor Farrell and Carter Farrell; brothers David (Carolyn) Hunter and Robin (Darla) Hunter; best friends Ryan Flack, Bill Arnold, Kelly Brooks and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearer’s will be Shane Farrell, Spencer Freed, Dustin Hunter, Daniel Hunter, Dave Hunter, Brian Faulkner.
