He is survived by his mother, Kathy Martin, two sisters, Joanna and spouse Joe Waits, their children, Terra, Bethany, Eric, and Ethan. Cheryl and spouse, Bob Howard, their children, Franklin, and Mary. His children, Rhiannon, Ayla, Maria, and their mother, Krystal Taylor.
He is preceded by his father, Frank Martin, and nephew, Ethan Waits.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 2:00pm at Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, Texas.

I met Darrell long ago. He was so happy and so easy to talk with. Over the time, we lost contact. Then I wrote a letter to his last address I had. Low and behold, he replied. The friendship rekindled. I am sorry to hear of his passing. He is no longer in pain. I will miss his silly self. God requested him to be an angel. Rest now, my brother.
