Darrell Wayne Sears, known to everyone who loved him as "Fuzz," age 76, of Bowling Green, KY departed this life on Saturday, June 17 2023, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. The Warren County native was born on April 16, 1947 to the late John Mack Sears and Edith Embry Sears. He was married to the love of his life and devoted wife, Betty Jane Elmore Sears on March 6, 1966, who preceded him in death.
Darrell was saved as a 33 year old man at an old time alter at Pine Grove United Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his death. He retired from Scotty's Contracting after a long career of driving an oil tanker and hauling heavy equipment. Darrell got his greatest enjoyment from spending time with family, friends, his little dog Mia, giving honey buns to the grandbabies, talking, and telling stories. He was never a man of few words.
Darrell leaves to honor his memory 2 daughters, Tracy Oliver (Darrell) of Alvaton, and Teresa Glass (Wendell) of Richardsville. 2 granddaughters, Taylor Thomas (Alex), and Kristin Grey (Ben), 2 grandsons Nathan and Tucker Oliver, along with 2 bonus grandchildren Logan and Jessica Thomas; his great grandchildren, Anniston, Gray, Liam, Grant, Vivi Jane, Jude and Owen; a sister, Brenda Williams, and several nieces. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John Mack Sears Jr.
Visitation will be Monday June 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM -8:00 PM at the J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel and resume Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Pine Grove United Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 Am followed by burial in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
