Darren Glen Binger

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Darren Glen Binger, a loving husband, father and Pappy, passed from this life at the age of 58. He was a resident of Dickinson, Texas and was born in Houston, Texas on July 19, 1964. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale Arnold Binger and LaQuita Cherry Binger and his grandparents.
Darren was best known for his big heart, helping hands and great sense of humor. He was a member of the League City Masonic Lodge, IBEW Local #66 and a retired member of the "Asleep at the Grill" BBQ team. He graduated from Pearland High School in 1982 and almost immediately went to work for HL&P (now Centerpoint Energy) in Substation Construction, where he retired after 38 years of service as a Journeyman Electrician, in 2019. He supported the Shriners Hospital for Children, The 100 Club, the VFW and the United Way. He loved the outdoors, corvettes and antique trucks, floating the river, taking road trips to The Hill Country, classic country music and classic rock. But his favorite times in life were spent laughing with family and friends.
Darren leaves behind to cherish a lifetime of memories, his wife of 34 years, Renee Wise Binger, daughter Ashlin Binger Janik and husband Joshua Janik, brother Dale A. Binger Jr., his granddaughter Chloe Grace Janik and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In his honor a memorial service will be held in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas on Wednesday afternoon (November 9, 2022) at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life gathering to follow at his home.
