Darren James King, Jr. was born on January 6, 1994, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Corrine LaShae Lewis King and Darren J. King, Sr. He was the seventh child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Jairon, Terrance, Darren, and his sisters, MaShanda, Shaquana, Denita, Ashley, and Theresa. As a child, he loved climbing and doing back flips over everything. He also played the drums using pot and pans and he learned how to play the piano by ear. He was a master chess player.
Darren received his formal education in Denver, where he attended Denver East and Denver West.. He later earned his GED. He furthered his education by attending Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, and the Community College of Denver. He earned an associate degree in Business Management, he also received a Technical Certificate in Information Technology, as well he was scholarship recipient.
On January 26, 2018. Darren united in holy matrimony to the former, Kenisha L. Turner Brown. They first met in the home of grandpar in Park Hill. They exchanged vows at the Denver County Court. She remembers him as a "gentle giant" who was loving and her best friend. He was patient, and intentional with the way he loved her. He was the loving and devoted father of Darren III and Darren Donjea. He loved and adored his children. They worked out together, read books, and prayed together. The children were his world and will always cherish his memory and love. His favorite saying to them was "I am your real dad, Who Cares."
By Profession, Darren was a musician and a Information Technology Professional. He also was employed as a Warehouse Associate. He was business entrepreneur who was owner of Blitz Bros. LLC. He was hardworking, dedicated, and performed his duties with a spirit of excellence. He and his brother, Terrance worked closely together.
A man of faith and belief in the Lord, Darren was a member of Holy Spirit Missionary Baptist Church. He joined the church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Ronald Dunlap.
Darren was a fun-loving young man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he loved the time spent with his family, going to the studio, and spending time with his brothers. He will be remembered for his music and family loyalty. To know Darren was to love him.
Darren J. King, Jr. departed this life on October 29, 2022, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife, Kenisha L. King; 2 sons, Darren J. King, III and Darren Donjea King; his parents, Darren J. King, Sr.; his brother, Darren J. King; sisters, Ashley ShaRee Lewis, Esquire, Mashonda M. Mayfield, Denita Mayfield, Shaquana Knight, and Theresa (Gary) Mitchelle; his grandparents, Nettie P. (Jeffery) Maes and Alec West; his god son, Jayron Williams, Sir-Ryan King, and Tavion Mitchelle; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and many friends Alngside devoted family members, Joyce Lewis, Sennya Willis, and Angela Poole.
