Darryl Fisher

Darryl Fisher entered eternal rest on November 12, 2023 in Hammond, LA at the age of 58. Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Darryl was known to be an adventurous, daring, and charming child. He was the youngest of 5 children born to David Fisher and Levenia Fisher of Plaquemines, LA. Darryl is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Earl Fisher, his sister Darlene Fisher,and devoted companion Shavonda Aples. Darryl leaves to cherish his memories by his 4 children, Brittiny Hartford (Roderick), Darryl Thompson, Demarco Taylor, and Darin Aples. His eldest brothers, David {Yvonne) and George Fisher. Darryl was a loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren Cash, Darrielle, Domica, Darryl Jr, Jada, Prosperity, Autumn, Lyric, D'arrion, and Darin Jr. He was educated at Laurel Elementary, Carter G. Woodson, Live Oak Jr. High, and Walter L. Cohen High School. Darryl was known to be an all-star football player within his community and school. He was a well-respected and dedicated steward of several fine dining restaurants throughout the French Quarter. For over a decade, Darryl served as a diligent maintenance technician at the Audubon Nature Institute of New Orleans. He will forever be a deeply loved member of the St. Thomas and Calliope communities.
