Darvis Harris

Born on May 30, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio, Darvis Harris was the beloved son of Freddie and Marcia Harris. A proud Cleveland native, he was educated in the Cleveland Public School system, attending Harvey Rice Elementary School and graduating from James F. Rhodes High School in 1990.

Darvis continued his education at Kent State University, where he earned a degree in Industrial Technology and formed lifelong friendships that became his cherished "Kent State family." After graduation, he returned home to Cleveland, the city he loved and proudly called his own.

Known affectionately as "Cap," Darvis brought joy wherever he went. He was the life of the party, remembered for his laughter, love of music, great cooking, and infectious sense of humor. He was a devoted sports fan, proudly supporting Kent State University, The Ohio State University, and the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed playing football, valuing both the competition and the camaraderie it brought.

Darvis leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Freddie and Marcia Harris of Cleveland, Ohio; his partner, Kimberly Anderson of Elyria, Ohio; his daughter, Kamille Harris of Elyria, Ohio; his brothers, Adrian Harris and Roderick Harris of Cleveland, Ohio; his sister, Stephanie Harris of Pennsylvania; his aunts, Anna and Lorrie Oldham; and his uncle, Timothy Oldham. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family, dear friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Darvis "Cap" Harris will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and light he brought into the lives of others.
