Darwin Call Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home on Jan. 12, 2026.
Darwin Eugene Call of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 81.

He was born on April 27, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Edith (Shane) Call and Gale Call. Darwin lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 75 years. He graduated from Warsaw High School and attended Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Having earned his Bachelor's degree he made his mark on this community as the owner of Ranger Materials in Warsaw, a full-service asphalt company, specializing in sealing and paving for over 40 years. Darwin started the business in 1981, and in 1986 the business name was changed to Ranger Materials. The primary business focus was on paving, sealing, striping, crackfill and asphalt repair. Darwin proudly served many friends and businesses in 14 counties over the years.

Darwin was married to Tatsiana Kavalenka for 14 years, from October 22, 2011, until his passing. They enjoyed spending quality time together, particularly in Florida. He had a lifelong passion for sports, including watching and playing baseball and basketball, but his favorite pastime was a round of golf.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tatsiana Call (Warsaw, IN); two daughters, Christi Milliken; Kathy (Jay) McCoy-Anderson (both of Indianapolis, IN); four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rosie.

Darwin's life will be celebrated privately by his family at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Sorry to hear of "Poodie's" passing. He was always larger than life. I will always remember him with a big smile on his face.
