David Barclay

David Barclay, age 21, of Kennard passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. David was born November 20, 2003 to Don Elton Barclay and Melissa D'Ann Rogers Barclay. He was a 2022 graduate of Kennard High School where he performed in UIL One-Act Play. He was a member of the State first place Spelling team as well as individual State runner-up. He attended Mt. Olive Church.
An avid outdoorsman, David loved nature and all of God's creatures. He loved deer hunting and fishing, generously contributing to the family's larder. He is survived by mother, Melissa Rogers of Nacogdoches; father, Don Barclay of Kennard; grandfather, Vance Rogers and wife, Kris of Nacogdoches; grandmother, Nell Barclay of Kennard; sweetheart, Kacie Northcutt of Lufkin; sisters and brother, Regan King and husband, Garrett of Nacogdoches, Jesse Barclay of Kennard, Winston Boney of Denver, CO; nieces, Ivy Tobar of Nacogdoches, Iris Tobar of Nacogdoches; numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Sarah Rogers and grandfather, John David Barclay.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle of Praise in Kennard. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise in Kennard. Interment will follow in the Ivie Cemetery. Change in visitation is due to a main city water line breakage
