David Henry Biehl

We are sad to announce, that David Henry Biehl, age 65, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with his loved ones at his side after a short struggle with pancreatic cancer.
Dave was born on March 8th, 1958 in Marinette WI to the late William and Helen (Kunesh) Biehl.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Steven & Dan Biehl.
Dave is survived by his wife, Laurie (Eggener) Biehl, the love of his life whom he married 24 years ago after meeting each other on a blind date; 2 sons: David and Johnathan Biehl of Marinette, WI;
2 grandchildren: Jordy and Leo Biehl; 3 brothers: James (Mary Ellen) of Cedarburg, WI; Michael (special friend Patty Hassemer) of Marinette, WI; and Douglas (special friend Kimber Olson) of Marinette, WI;
3 sisters: Virginia (Bruce) Chaltry of Porterfield, WI; Mary (Fred) Prevost of Marinette WI; and Michelle (Shawn) Slocum of Rio Verde AZ; And many nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Marinette High School in 1977, Dave worked at LE Jones Company, Biehl Construction, Scott Anderson Construction, and Andy Bergeson Excavating.
Dave was described by others as a hardworking jack-of-all-trades. If he envisioned something he built it. If it needed fixing it was fixed to last. He was a meticulous master craftsman sharing his passion and knowledge of the hands-on trades. Dave was always willing to help others out by borrowing them his time, tools, equipment, or friendly conversation.
He loved his home, property, and his Corgis: Ren, Rhett, and Rye. Dave never had to travel the world because his home was his world. He artfully displayed old farm equipment in his yard; using barn wood he hand-built an open slat barn, and to complete the setting Dave obtained and re-assembled an old windmill.
His kindness and gift of talent will live in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life's journey. Dave will be deeply missed, but forever cherished, by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will miss his wisdom and sly sense of humor; quiet mannerism and pleasant character. Life will never be the same without him.
In keeping with Dave's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.
The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers with Unity Hospice; and all of the family and friends for their thoughts and prayers.
In place of flowers, a memorial donation to the Menominee Animal Shelter, Oconto County Humane Society, or any other animal organization would be appreciated.
