David Lee Bilbrey

DAVID LEE BILBREY age 65 of Crossville, TN passed away April 12, 2024. He was born July 29, 1958 in Crossville, TN the son of Robert "Bo' and Beverly Fuller Bilbrey. He was the owner of A&B Body Shop, a business that he, his father Bo and brother, Buddy had previously owned together throughout the years.
Dave was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He loved and was proud of his family, especially his boys. He also loved fishing and racing. Like both his father, and his mother, he decided at a young age to start racing stock cars. Dave won many championships around the region and was also inducted into both, The Smokey Mountain Speedway, and, Upper Cumberland Dirt Racing Hall of Fames. He was #44, and was dedicated to racing around the region for many years, with some of his dearest friends helping as his pit crew. He had many years of exciting experiences, memories made, and lifelong friendships, during his racing career. #44 forever, in our hearts!
He is survived by his wife- Cindy Bilbrey of Crossville, TN, sons- David Lee Bilbrey II and Matthew Cole Bilbrey both of Crossville, sister- Barbara Pendergrass and her husband Bobby of Cookeville, TN and niece- Kelly Borden and her husband Mike of Crossville, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- Dennis "Buddy" Bilbrey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 17, 2024, at 11:00am at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday April 16, 2024 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens.
