David "Scott" Brooks, age 41, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Liberty Hill Methodist Church. He was born 08/23/1983 in Morristown. He graduated from Morristown East in 2001 and attended TN Vocational School. He was a Millwright, Welder, and Pipefitter. He has worked on many buildings throughout East TN and traveled some with his work. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt deer and turkey.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Donald Brooks and Kenneth Easley, and JL Hensley; grandmother, Henrietta Easley; aunt, Relda Mason Williams; and his beloved dog, "Rosie."
He is survived by parents, David, and Jacqueline (Jackie) Brooks; sister, Megan (Josh) Brooks; uncle, Gary Brooks; grandmother, Marie Brooks; nephew, Hank Jarnagin; nieces, Eliza Jarnagin and Stella Brooks; cousins, Alex, and Charles Williams; his friend since childhood, Tommy Ford.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5 – 7 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Sean Glenn officiating. Graveside/interment service will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Liberty Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
