Juanita Brooks

Juanita June Tredway-Brooks, age 92 of Clovis, NM passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, 2:00 pm, at The Chapel, 1500 Thornton Street. Private burial to be held at a later date.

Juanita was born February 24, 1933, to Chauncy Searcy and Clara Johnson in Iola, KS. She married Elvyn "Ted" Earl Tredway on December 22, 1956, in Fort Scott, Kansas, they were married until his passing on July 17, 2005. Juanita married Richard Brooks on October 21, 2006, in Pawhuska, OK until his passing on October 29, 2018. Juanita was a collector of items, especially Christmas items. She loved cooking, traveling and going to the mountains. Juanita enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions. She loved it when family came to her for advice. At 92 she became an ordained minister.

Survivors include her children; Jerry Algire (Diana) of Ohio, Danny Tredway (Shannon) of Virginia, Johnny Tredway (Fern) of Texico, NM, Debra (Michael) Knowlden of Clovis, NM, and Katie Tredway of Clovis, NM, 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Chauncy Searcy and Clara Johnson, daughter; Vicky Tredway, granddaughter; Dayna Tredway, her first husband; Elvyn "Ted" Earl Tredway and her second husband; Richard Brooks.
