Charles David Brown, known to many as David, passed away on January 25, 2025, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was 61 years old.Born on December 29, 1963, in Atlanta, Georgia, David grew up in Stone Mountain. He attended Stone Mountain High School for one year, then attended and graduated from Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia.David was a talented carpenter whose skills were evident in the homes he built and renovated. Known for his ability to repair almost anything, his craftsmanship left a lasting impression on those who benefited from his work.David had a passion for basketball and was an avid fan of the Duke Blue Devils. Whether cheering on his team or playing pickup games at the park near his home, basketball brought him great joy. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and following the sport closely.David was predeceased by his parents, William Eugene "Gene" Brown and Loretta Keel Brown. He is survived by his siblings Donna Brown Williams (Andy) of Gainesville, Georgia; Victor Smith Brown (Cheryl) of Newport News, Virginia; and Amy Beth Taylor (Hoge) of Milton, Tennessee. He also leaves behind nine beloved nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Union Cemetery in Woodville, Alabama, where his parents are laid to rest. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. CST (2:00 p.m. Eastern Time).Davids memory will live on through the lives he touched and the legacy of his work and passions.
