David Roland Comtois, age 88, passed away on July 20th 2024 in St. Augustine after a long
battle with heart disease.
David accomplished much during his life.
He graduated from High School in Pittsfield Massachusetts and served for 4 years in the Air

He received a Bachelor's degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master's degree
in psychology from the University of Toledo and had additional training at the University of Iowa.

he met his loving wife Rosemary with whom he would have 2 children, Justine and Mark.
He taught experimental psychology at Central Michigan University and was a lead psychologist
at the State home and training school in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
He was also a school psychologist in Midland County and Saginaw school districts, from which
he retired in 2000.
He loved sailing, watching sunsets, his dogs, lunch gatherings with "the boys" a group of retired
psychologists in Michigan, and listening to Jazz and Classical music. In particular "Muddy
Waters".
David and Rosemary chose to spend their retirement together in St. Augustine, Florida.
There he was a creative cook at home and sometimes made pasta for Dining with Dignity,
organized by the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of St. Augustine.
He also enjoyed the dart games at the Fellowship and Football Sundays at the pub or at home.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Rosemary Comtois.
Daughter, Justine Comtois.
Most beloved granddaughter Madeleine Comtois and great-granddaughter Amelia Bisschops,
granddaughter Caitlin Govaert and grandson Calvin Govaert.
Nieces Kathleen Comtois and Liza Comtois.
Nieces and nephews Carol, Pat, Charles, and Robert Steadham.
He is predeceased by his son, Mark Comtois.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
