Mr. David Gerald Cooper, age 72, beloved husband to Mrs. Pamela Hammond Cooper, entered into rest on Saturday January 3, 2026 at his home in New Holland, SC.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Jason (Lindsay) Cooper, Ander Shawn (Sally) Woodward, Candi (Nick) Desrocher; ten grandchildren; brother, John (Connie) Cooper; and sister, Jwann Baker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Ann B. Cooper; his first wife, Bernie Jo Cooper; and brother, Rick Cooper.
Mr. Cooper worked in supply for AGY formally known as Owens Corning Fiberglas in Aiken, but was well-known as a musician in the CSRA. He attended East Side Baptist Church in Aiken and played in the praise band there. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 2pm at East Side Baptist Church in Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the time of the service at the church.
