David Gordon DeArmond

David Gordon DeArmond, 85, of Crescent, went Home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2023.
He was born in Lakeview, Oregon to the late David E. and Ardis S. (née Sharpe) DeArmond on June 28, 1937. Gordon graduated from Medford Senior High in 1955 and went on to attend Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, graduating in 1960 with a BSA in Economics. In October of 1960, he enlisted in the Army Reserves.
On September 11, 1959, Gordon married the love of his life, Norma Granger, and spent 64 wonderful years by her side. During their time together, Gordon owned and operated Crescent Lake Resort from 1958-1975, and La Pine Reality from 1978-1992. Around 1981, Gordon became an ordained minister and was called to lead Ponderosa Christian Fellowship. He was their pastor for 42 years from 1981-2023. In addition to these roles, Gordon was active with the Klamath County Planning Department, Gilchrist School Board, and Klamath County Search and Rescue. He was also the Director for the World Wide Ministry and served on the MidState Electric Board of Directors for 38 years.
Gordon loved being in nature, especially when camping. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter of deer and elk.
Gordon leaves behind his loving wife, Norma; son-in-law, Jon Golden; two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Alli Golden and Eli Golden; nephew, Dan (Patty) DeArmond of Coeur d'Alene, ID; niece, Sarah (Tim) Jones of Lake Oswego, OR; extended family, numerous friends, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Theresa Golden on December 9, 2021; and two brothers and their wives; Richard L. (Jackie) DeArmond, and Robert (Leona) DeArmond.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 23, 2023 at 11:00 am in La Pine Christian Center (52565 Day Rd, La Pine, OR 97739.)
