David Lawrence Deibel

David Lawrence Deibel, 95, of Venice, Fl, was called home to our Lord on February 28, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1930 to the late Joseph and Ingram Deibel in Columbus, Ohio. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of Elison Bella Vita Assisted Living in Venice, with his wife Shirley.

David was married to Mary Rose Deibel for 58 years until her passing in 2007. He married Shirley Ann in 2010. David was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Mary Rose) and 5 of his six siblings.

David is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Venice, Fl); brother Stephen (Mary T.) Columbus, Oh; children Stephanie Silver (Jerome) Carmel, In; Curtis Deibel (Barbara) Canton, Oh; Mary Deibel Indian River, Mi; Matthew Deibel (Patty) Highlands Ranch, Co; Mark Deibel ( David Blazer) Cleveland Heights, Oh; Amy Deibel, Copenhagen, Denmark; Paula Angari (Ezzat) Canton, Oh.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10 am and a funeral mass at 11 am at The Cross in the Woods Catholic Shrine in Indian River Michigan on June 19, 2026, with burial immediately following in The Cross in the Woods Cemetery. A gathering with light lunch will follow in the Shrine Fellowship Hall.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 20, 2026, at the Deibel Compound on Pike St in Indian River Michigan from 3-6 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Venice, Fl or The Crosss in in the Woods Catholic Shrine of Indian River Michigan.
