Born on November 15, 1961, in Savannah, Tennessee, David Jerry (Dave) Dickey, II was the cherished son of David Jerry and Anita Garrison Dickey. His journey began in a nurturing environment that fostered not only his educational pursuits but also his vibrant personality.
A proud graduate of Adamsville High School and Lambuth University, Dave furthered his education, achieving the equivalent of a Master's degree in telephony with BellCore in Chicago, Illinois. He followed in the proud tradition established by his grandfather and father, weaving his own legacy as a steadfast employee of BellSouth for many years. His thirst for knowledge was matched only by his passion for life and music, particularly the captivating rhythms of jazz that resonated deeply within his soul.
Dave found joy in the companionship of his beloved cats, each one a testament to his caring nature. A devoted sports enthusiast, Dave stood as a loyal season ticket holder and proud supporter of the Tennessee Titans while also cheering on the New England Patriots with equal fervor.
Within the walls of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville, TN, Dave nurtured his faith and strengthened his bonds with his community. He was not just a member; he was a friend, a gentle soul who touched the hearts of many.
On June 25, 2025, Dave departed this life in Nashville, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of love at the age of 63 years, 7 months, and 10 days. He is survived by his devoted parents, David and Anita Dickey of Adamsville, TN; his uncle, Eddie Dickey of Adamsville, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his loving grandparents, Gilcie and Myrtis Garrison, and Cecil and Ruby Dickey.
As we remember Dave, let us celebrate a life that was truly lived-filled with passion, joy, and unwavering affection for family, friends, and all things beautiful.
