David Duhe

David Duhe', a native and resident of Reserve, LA passed peacefully Thursday, October 11, 2024, at the Louisiana Veterans Affairs Home in Reserve, LA. David was 77.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney Duhe', Sr. and Elucia Stein Duhe' both of Reserve, LA. He is survived by his elder brother, Edward "Muss" Duhe' and wife, Myra; and, his younger brother, Rodney Duhe', Jr. David was the proud loving uncle of Christopher Cappo (Tammie), Jason Duhe' (Tiffany), Jennifer Duhe' Martin (Christopher), Nicholas Duhe' (Bonnie). David was also the great uncle to Connor Cappo (Christopher), Ali Duhe', Aubrey Duhe' (Jason), Madelyn Martin, Mallory Martin, (Jennifer) Harris Duhe' and Camille Duhe' (Nicholas).
David grew up in Reserve, LA where he attended St. Peters School and Leon Godchaux High School. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. Among his many awards and commendations, David received two Purple Hearts, one with Oak Leaf Clusters; he was also awarded a Bronze Star for Valor among other distinguished metals. After returning from active duty, David worked at the St. Joe Paper Co in Reserve, and as a maintenance mechanic at the Zen-Noh Grain facility in Convent, LA. Outside of work, he enjoyed seeing his friends and getting together with his family. David was a devoted son, brother, uncle and great uncle.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1550 Hwy. 44, Reserve, LA on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery.
