With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved father, grandfather, and great- grandfather, David Moreno Espinoza, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 94 years old.
Born in Dodge City, Kansas, to Marcelino and Luisa Espinoza, Dad spent his early years in Mexico before returning to the United States at the age of 18. In 1953, he married the love of his life, Ana Chavez. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion-raising four children and sharing 68 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2022.
To know our Dad was to love him. With his booming laugh, playful spirit, and generous heart, he brought joy wherever he went. He sang, danced, told unforgettable stories-and he made each of us feel deeply loved. He was the anchor of our family, the source of so many of our happiest memories. Our hearts ache at the loss of such a remarkable man, but we find comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved "Chaparrita."
David is survived by his children David Jr. (Toni), Alberto (Socorro), Angel (Cecilia), and Maria (Jose Luis) Enriquez; his grandchildren Trisha, Lisa, Sasha, Alberto Jr., Michael, Tania, Eric, Aaron, and Adam; and his great-grandchildren Diego, Benjamin, and Lucia.
His legacy of love lives on in each of us. We will miss him more than words can express, but his spirit remains ever-present in our laughter, our stories, and our hearts.
