David Winston Fields, age 91, of Sorrento, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025.
David was born in Parish, Kentucky, to Robert Fields and Pearl Fields. A hardworking and skilled auto mechanic by trade, he built a life defined by dedication, craftsmanship, and service to others. Over the years, he went on to own and operate several businesses in Central Florida, including Orlando Aviation and a Shell gas station in Winter Park, Florida, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his honesty and strong work ethic.
David was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Glenda Fields; his son, David Fields; and his daughters, Linda Hoerr and Debbie Davis.
A man of faith, David was active in his church and lived his beliefs through action. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, a distinction that reflected his lifelong commitment to integrity, service, and brotherhood. He was always quick to lend a hand—especially when a neighbor had a mechanical problem—and was known for his kindness, humility, and willingness to help without expecting anything in return.
David’s legacy is one of hard work, generosity, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
