David Michael Flanagan, 64, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home in Natural Dam. Born on December 26, 1960, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to David Flanagan and Wilma Lee Flanagan Goss, David lived a life marked by hard work, his faith, and a genuine love for family and friends.
On August 18, 1984, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, he married his soulmate, Debbie Woods Hudgins. Over 40 wonderful years together, they built a beautiful life and raised an extraordinary family. David was a lifelong welder, dedicating 46 years to his trade and eventually serving as Manufacturing Manager at Baldor. In addition to his career, he earned his EMT Certification and provided emergency care as an Emergency Tech at Baldor-a true jack-of-all-trades who could master any challenge, whether rigging or fixing something.
David's passion for the outdoors was evident in his love of fishing and occasional hunting. Known for his humor and lighthearted spirit, he was affectionately recognized as the "biggest little guy you will ever know" by everyone who knew him. A devoted man of faith, David was a longtime member of the Fannin United Methodist Church in Brandon, Mississippi, and later attended Set Free Ministries in Lincoln, Arkansas. His heart was always with his family-especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Dee." David is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children, David Matthew Flanagan, Shane Hudgins, Carla Walker, and Ryan Strickland; nine cherished grandchildren, with another on the way. He was preceded in death by his father, David Flanagan, his step-mother, Lu Flanagan, and his step-father, Gary Goss.
David will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Cremation To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of David, please visit our Tree Store.
