David "Pawpee" Fonseca, age 78, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. He was a native and resident of Houma, La.
A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dina LeBlanc Fonseca; children, Angie Fonseca Trahan (Patrick), Brian Fonseca (Mistie); grandchildren, Brittany Scott (Kevin), Alexis Trahan (Gabe), Ariel Fonseca, Austin Fonseca; great-grandchildren, Jayden Scott, Amaya Scott; sister, Wendy Fonseca; sisters-in-law, Vivian Fonseca Grossman, Donna Fonseca; numerous nieces and nephews; and his puppy, Roxi.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Sergen Fonseca and Elvia Robotham Fonseca; brothers, Mark Fonseca, Peter Fonseca, Philip Fonseca; sister, Mary Landry; furry friends, Snuggles and Sami.
David enjoyed gardening, fishing and weightlifting in his younger years. He loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite pastime was watching The Three Stooges. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
