David Ginnan Obituary

He passed in the peace and comfort of his home in Caton, NY on Oct. 12, 2024.
David served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1958. He drove a school bus for Gilford Toby, worked for Brockway Motor Trucks and Steuben County Highway Department. David was also the Caton Town Justice for 15 years and was part of the Caton Zoning Committee.
David married Sylvia Reynolds on July 8, 1961. Together they had 3 children. He loved helping his family and taking care of his house and property for all of his years. After he retired, David loved traveling to spend time with his children and grandchildren, playing golf, and going to the YMCA. David was an avid gardener. He was very proud of his gardens, his home, and the handy work he did for his family.
David is survived by his wife, Sylvia, daughters: April (Bill) Camire, and Shawna (Bill) Steele, and son: Todd (Claire) Ginnan. Grandchildren: Sarah (Michael) Barbariantz, Taylor (Erin) Steele, Emily Morisson, Jesse Morrison, Lydia Morrison, Devan Ginnan and Avery Ginnan. Great Grandchildren: Mason Barbariantz, Madelyn Barbariantz, Jace Steele and Demi Steele. Brother: Roy (Sandra) Ginnan; sisters: Mary Ginnan and Barbara (John) LeBednik.
He is predeceased by siblings: Carly Ginnan, Earl Ginnan, Daniel Ginnan, Jack Ginnan, Doug Ginnan and Doreen Ginnan Crane
Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney Street, Corning, NY on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 10:00am-Noon with a memorial service immediately following.

I remember Mr. David Ginnan as I grew up with his children and saw him often at the YMCA.
