In Loving Memory
Phillip "David" Graham, 69, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on September 29, 2023. He was a loving and adventuresome dad, never one to skip a fun event or activity with his kids. He was known for his energy, lively personality, and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ. He dearly loved his family and his influence will be felt for generations.
David was born in Bastrop, Louisiana, to Edward and Flora Jackson Graham on October 16, 1953. He graduated from South Natchez/Adams High School. He attended Louisiana State University, The College of William and Mary, and graduated from the University of Mississippi. He was a stockbroker for 17 years in Mobile, Alabama and Kingwood, Texas. Never one to shy away from change, he enjoyed his second career as a physics and chemistry teacher at The Woodlands High School where he was elected "Favorite Teacher" by the students and "Teacher of the Year" by the faculty. He was able to use his creativity and love for music by performing rap songs to engage his students in learning. He treasured his memories and friendships with his coworkers at The Woodlands High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Betty Cook Graham; children, Clay Graham (Michelle), Kate Nixon (Brett), and by six grandchildren; Riley Graham, Reese Graham, Hugh Graham, Heidi Graham, Piper Nixon, Owen Nixon. He is also survived by his brother Mike Graham (Dianne) of Monroe, Louisiana and Candace Harrison (Steve) of Waco, Texas.
The family is grateful for the loving care he received for eight years at Davita Green Oak in Kingwood, TX.
Memorials may be made to Little Lights Houston (littlelightshouston.org) or HOPE Helping Oppressed People Everywhere (hopecharity.net).
A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2023 at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, Texas at 11:00.
