David Edward Hohulin, age 50, of Elwood, Illinois entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on November 12 after suffering a massive heart attack. He was born on March 3, 1972 in Peoria Illinois to Wes and Joyce Leman Hohulin. He married the love of his life Marilyn Walder on October 6, 2002. She survives along with his daughter Lena who was the greatest joy of his life.
Dave is survived by his parents Wes and Joyce Hohulin of Goodfield, IL, his sister Jodi (Eric) Strassheim of Zionsville, IN and sister Keri (Josh) Beer of Newburgh, IN. He was the Vice President of Infinitec Technology Coalitions at United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago for 12 years where he had a huge part in training teachers in several states who worked with children with disabilities.
Later Dave become the Associate Pastor for Cornerstone Church of LincolnWay in New Lenox where he was still serving at the time of his death. He had many duties there including leading worship and children's programs. But his greatest passion was starting a biblical counseling ministry. He was working on his master's degree in Biblical Counseling from Masters University in California.
God called Dave to repentance of his sins in 1994 and he yielded his life to the will of God. He was always thinking of others before himself, loved puns, had a crazy sense of humor and was always entertaining the children. He was a tremendous support to his parents. He loved everyone and was loved by all who knew him. When he was asked how he was he always said, "Better than I deserve." He used his many talents to serve the Lord.
Visitation will be at Cornerstone Church of LincolnWay 1501 Gougar Road in New Lenox, IL from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 17th. The funeral will also be at the church on Friday November 18th at 10 a.m. with a visitation from 9-9:45 a.m. Immediately following the service burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery 331 Haven Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451.

Although we weren't ready for him to go, we know that God's purposes are for our good and ultimately for His glory! May His name be magnified!
