Jake Knapp

Jake Knapp, 36, of Congerville, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
Jake was born February 6, 1989 in Peoria to Eric and Molly Coon Knapp. He married his high school sweetheart, Jenna Curley, on November 10, 2012 in Eureka.
Surviving is his wife, Jenna and their three children, Audrey, Wyatt, and Clara; his parents, Eric and Molly; his sister, Meghan Knapp; his grandparents, Larry and Nancy Coon; his parents-in-law, Tim and Kay Curley; brother-and-sister-in-law, Jay and Caitlin Curley, and their children, Bo and Brice.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Bernice Knapp.
Jake's lived life to the fullest. He had an enduring love for the outdoors, whether fishing, roping, or just enjoying the country. His fondness for John Deere tractors, working on trucks, and anything Chevy was a testament to his hardworking spirit, enthusiasm and skill with mechanics. A devoted family man, Jake adored spending time with his children, sharing his love with them and his wife.
In his professional life, Jake served as the sales manager at Lighthouse Automotive, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to excellence. He earned his Bachelor's degree from ISU following his graduation from Eureka High School. Jake believed in serving his community to make it the best place it could be; he lived out this belief through his service to the District #140 school board. He was well-respected and admired by many.
His walk with Christ was of utmost importance to him. He strived to live like a follower of Jesus every day and was an active member of Eureka Bible Church
It is this faith that will be part of his legacy in addition to his great sense of humor, sense of duty and service, and his deep love for his family. It was truly a privilege to know Jake.
His family will receive friends from 10:00am-1:00pm Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Eureka Bible Church. A funeral service to honor Jake's life and faith will begin at 2:00pm Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Imhoff Cemetery near Congerville.
