David Humble Obituary
Visitation for David Crockett Humble, age 76 of Tullos, will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, from the sanctuary of Tullos First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. At the end of visitation Pastor Scott Smith will offer remarks. Services are under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla.
David Crockett Humble was born on March 22, 1946, at Jonesville, LA to the union of his parents, the late Melvin Humble and Sybil McClure. He passed from this life on February 29, 2024, at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Clara Humble and a sister, Dianne Grantham. Mr. Humble retired from Louisiana Pacific in Urania. He loved being at his home place and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School and a retired U. S. Army Veteran.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Kevin Renee Conville and husband, Robbie of Tullos, and Dee Ann Humble Perot and husband, Marty of Columbia; his grandchildren: Sam Maggio, John Clyde McClure Humble, Shelby Doyle Conville, Justin Perot, John Aiden, Nataleigh Perot and Chase Perot; four great-grandchildren; his brothers: Melvin Humble and wife Carolyn, Jerry Humble, Timmy Humble and wife Carol; his sisters, Nancy Blunton and husband, Gene and Cerrie Montgomery.
To honor Mr. Humble's wishes the family has lovingly chosen cremation.
