David J. Ionno,
Age 77, of Waynesburg, passed away Thur., Apr. 25, 2024. He was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Canton, a son of the late Tony and Stella (Cecchetti) Ionno. David was a 1964 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and Served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and retired from the Timken Co. as an Engineer. Survived by his wife, Cathryn (Marraccini) Ionno, with whom he celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 24th; one daughter and son-in-law, Stacey (John) Rodriques; one son and daughter-in-law; Dave (Teresa) Ionno; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Cindy) Ionno and Mark (Cindee) Ionno; and nine grandchildren, Christian, Dominic, Celeste, Julia, Connor, Dylan, Iona, Josie, and Derek. A Memorial Mass will be held Mon. at 11 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse as Celebrant. Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10-11 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to: St. James Catholic Church, 400 W. Lisbon St., Waynesburg, OH 44688. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.

Cathy and family you have my deepest sympathies. I haven´t seen Dave in quite a while but it seems like yesterday and I can still hear his laugh and see his awesome smile. He was a good friend and will be missed by many Terry Burkhart
