David E. Jones

David E. Jones was born on July 12, 1965 to the late Cynthia Gandy Jones and Samuel Paul Jones in Monticello, NY. On February 2, 2025, at Kaplan Family Hospice, David peacefully left this world, embraced by the love of his family. He was 59 years old.
David was a proud graduate of Monticello High School, Class of 1983, and life-long resident of Monticello, where he spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the great outdoors that he loved so much.
David established his career in the Monticello School District's Grounds department, where he poured his heart into his work for over twenty years and later provided security services in the Newburgh area.
David married the love of his life, Cynthia Jones, and together, they created a beautiful family, welcoming four cherished children into the world. He was a devoted husband, grandfather, and friend. He found joy fishing and hunting, often sharing these moments with those closest to him. His deep appreciation for nature was matched only by the respect and kindness he showed to his community, where he was known as a man of integrity and warmth.
Left to celebrate his life and mourn his passing are his beloved wife, Cynthia; and four beautiful children, Storm, Shane, Wesley B., and Shandell. Also left to cherish his memories are his loving brothers, Benjamin and Paul; as well as nine cherished grandchildren, Story, Yvette, Makai, Journey, Amaya, Alyssa, Miles, Maddox, and Memphis, who brought him endless pride and happiness. David was preceded in death by his loving parents.

David's legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello with a funeral service starting at 12pm noon at the church.
