Kenneth "Kenny" Stretch Jr., a spirited and loving soul, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the young age of 23. Born on August 18, 2002, in Middletown, NY, Kenny was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of his beloved family and friends.
Kenny's early life in Middletown was filled with the warmth and support of his family. He was the cherished son of Judy Cushing and Kenneth Stretch Sr., the caring brother to Cynthia (& husband Diego) and Claudia, and the adored adopted brother to Jordan Howland. Kenny was also a proud grandson to Beverly Cushing and a devoted boyfriend to his loving partner, Jade.
Graduating with Cum Laude honors from Monticello High School, Kenny's drive and determination were evident from a young age. His work journey was diverse and dynamic, reflecting his passion for exploration and growth. Kenny began his career in the hospitality industry as a server, quickly advancing to a line cook and spending some time bartending. He also explored the world of landscaping and tree service before discovering his true calling in the culinary arts.
His commitment to his community was unwavering, and he found joy in volunteering and making connections with those around him.
A man of many interests, Kenny's zest for life was contagious. He was an avid motorcycle rider, feeling the most free with the wind in his hair and the open road ahead. Recently, Kenny had reignited his love for reading, finding solace and adventure in the pages of books. Video games were another of his favorite pastimes, offering him a world of challenge and camaraderie. His creative spirit also found an outlet in DJ-ing, a hobby he shared with his girlfriend, Jade, as they crafted melodies and rhythms that brought people together in celebration.
Kenny was known for his humor, often the source of laughter and light-heartedness in any gathering. His passion for life and for his interests was palpable, inspiring others to pursue their dreams with fervor. Above all, Kenny was loving-a trait that he expressed freely and without reservation to his family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
As we bid farewell to Kenneth Stretch Jr., we remember a life lived fully, passionately, and lovingly. Kenny's legacy is one of vibrancy, generosity, and warmth-a legacy that will continue to inspire and influence all who knew him.
