Frank Charles Guardino II
October 25, 1979 – November 3, 2024
Middletown, NY
Frank Charles Guardino II, 45, of Middletown, NY, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2024. Born on October 25, 1979, in Middletown, he was the beloved son of Tina Rivera (Towers) and Frank C. Guardino, and raised by his stepmother Cathy Guardino and stepfather Robert Rivera.
A proud graduate of Monticello High School (Class of 2000), Frank's life was defined by a spirit of adventure and excitement. Known for his big heart, Frank cherished his family deeply. His love for them was often expressed through random texts of gratitude, endearing nicknames, and spontaneous gestures of kindness. He was preceded in death by his best friend and "beloved brother," James Dunn; his grandfather Frank Guardino; and his grandmothers, Mary, Hazel, and Margaret.
Frank is survived by his ex-wife, Victoria Bayne (Schlag), and their daughter, Sunshine Guardino, both of New Paltz, NY. He is also survived by his older sister, Gina Guardino, and her wife Carleen Guardino (Kerr), as well as their children Aiden and Juliana; his younger brother, Justin Guardino, his wife Jess Guardino, and their children Adrianna and Lincoln (whom Frank affectionately called "Otis"). Frank is also survived by his sisters, Renessa, her daughter Lilly, and youngest sister Jessica Guardino; as well as his siblings; Cory her son Joey and daughter Alexis; and Ryan Rivera, his son Ryan and daughter Mia.
In his final moments, Frank was surrounded by his loving family, including his sister Gina and her family, as well as extended family and friends who shared countless memories with him over the years. Frank's love for his family, his deep appreciation for life, and his joyful spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
For more than a decade, Frank brought his warmth and personality to The Bistro in New Paltz, NY, where he was a familiar face to both regulars and newcomers alike. He had a special connection to New Paltz, a town he loved, as well as to places like the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona and Sylvan Beach, NY, where he found peace and joy. Frank was an avid gambler, often seeking thrills in the games of chance, and his energy was magnetic wherever he went. He was, in every sense, an "OG" in New Paltz-chill, fun-loving, and always the life of the party. Whether enjoying a great movie, a favorite song, or spending time with friends and family, Frank knew how to live fully in the moment.
A kind soul with a contagious sense of humor, Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love, lessons, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones.
